Ms Amelia Dillon

Amelia Dillon is a dedicated and skilled musician who is currently in her third year of studying a Bachelor of Music Performance (Classical Clarinet) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She graduated from Santa Sabina College in 2021 with an impressive ATAR of 92.90. During her studies at the Conservatorium, Amelia has performed as the principal clarinet in the Wind Symphony, New Music Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestras. Her talents have also earned her a place in the Conservatorium Wind Symphony Tour to Japan and Korea, scheduled for November 2024.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Amelia has developed a successful private teaching practice from her home in Eastwood, where she has been providing private clarinet and piano instruction. Since 2022, she has also served as a music tutor for Eastwood Public School. Her commitment to music education extends to her role as a clarinet and piano teacher with Bennelong Music, where she has been a member of the teaching staff since 2023. Bennelong Music operates in primary and high schools across Ryde and the surrounding areas.

Amelia's extensive experience with the Sydney Youth Orchestras spans six years, during which she has held significant positions including Principal Clarinet in The Sydney Youth Orchestra for 2024, and the Sydney Youth Orchestra Philharmonic in 2022 and 2023. She also served as Principal Clarinet during the Sydney Youth Orchestra's Big West Tour in 2023. Her musical achievements include receiving a High Distinction for her Performance Certificate in Clarinet from the AMEB in 2020, being an Encore nominee for the HSC in 2021, and performing as a soloist on the Santa Sabina European Music Tour in 2019.
