Elizabeth Neville, born in England, embarked on her musical journey with the cello at the age of eight. A former member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and later the European Union Youth Orchestra, she ascended to the role of Principal Cello during her third year.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music from the University of Nottingham, Elizabeth pursued further studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London under David Strange. Supported by scholarships, including the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme, she engaged in recitals nationwide post-studies.

With a rich orchestral career, Elizabeth has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra of London, Hallé Symphony Orchestra, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Her five-year tenure with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra further solidified her position in the classical music landscape.

Relocating to Australia in 2001 after working with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Elizabeth is a member of the Apollo Piano Trio, showcasing her musical prowess across New South Wales.

In the realm of education, Elizabeth has been a dedicated cello tutor at various institutions, including Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium, Chrysalis Steiner School, and Bellingen High School. Her passion for nurturing young talent extends to roles such as the String Director of Bellingen Youth Orchestra Sinfonia chamber group and Music Coordinator at Kamaroi Steiner School.

Beyond orchestral and educational commitments, Elizabeth has pursued solo endeavors, recorded Chopin's Cello and Piano Sonata, and engaged in chamber music collaborations, including performances at the Sydney Opera House and other venues.

Elizabeth Neville's multifaceted career showcases her commitment to musical education, performance, and collaboration. Her awards and accolades, including the SSO Friends Scholarship and The Countess of Munster Musical Trust Award, underscore her dedication to artistic excellence.
